After years of sinking deeper and deeper into debt, it hit me. It doesn’t have to be “this way.” Living paycheck to paycheck isn’t a lifestyle choice, it’s the complete lack of choosing. It doesn’t take hard work to improve your financial future, it just takes a little bit of planning and self discipline. That’s how this blog was born.
My name is Brian Lasky and I’m 33 years old. I have started a journey to take myself to a financially stable and secure place. It’s never too late to get started, and you’re never in too much debt to get moving. It’s all about keeping yourself accountable and following a plan.
After growing up in a small midwestern town and taking things a little too much for granted, I made the move to the “big city.” With the move came a little bit of financial carelessness and debt accumulation. The debt got out of hand, and I was at the end of my rope. By the time I finally broke down and decided I had to take care of it, I felt like it was too far gone. It was, at this point, too late to do anything about it.
I looked online for a resource to help me pay down my debts. There wasn’t much to it, really. Just do it. That was what it was all about. Just doing it. It wasn’t quite the answer I was looking for, but here we go. That’s what I’m doing now.
Follow my journey and start one of your own. Get involved and help keep me accountable and I’ll do the same for you. Maybe with a bit of hard work and a little bit of just doing it, we’ll all end up where we want to be. At the end of the financial stability tunnel.
